A woman identified as Linet Odhiambo stabbed her 32-year-old husband, Jacob Odhiambo, to death in Deliverance Village in Isiolo North on Saturday night following prolonged domestic disputes.

Confirming the incident, Isiolo Sub County Police Commander William Kiambi reported that a neighbor alerted authorities around 10:00 pm, leading to police discovering Odhiambo lying incapacitated on the floor of his home, with his intestines exposed.

He was promptly transported to Isiolo Referral Hospital.

However, Odhiambo succumbed to his injuries shortly after midnight, as confirmed by his brother, who notified the authorities.

Linet Odhiambo surrendered and is in custody at the Isiolo Main Police Station.

The police boss condemned the violence, calling upon peaceful means of resolving domestic conflicts to prevent such tragic outcomes.

Further, he revealed that the couple had been counseled extensively without heeding advice, highlighting the need for effective family conflict resolution strategies.

"The prevalence of family-related fatalities is a grave concern, and we must endeavor to prevent further loss of life through proactive intervention," stated Kiambi.

The deceased's body has been transferred to the mortuary at Isiolo Referral Hospital.
On the other hand, the suspect awaits arraignment in court on Monday.
