Residents, engaged in their daily economic activities stumbled upon  Bodaboda rider Boaz Mogere's decaying body, intensifying the grief and distress of his bereaved family.

Mogere's family in Juja, Kiambu County, has been in search of explanations following the tragic discovery of their relative, who had gone missing on Saturday, February 24. Boaz Mogere Ratemo, a boda boda operator, was found deceased, with his body mutilated and abandoned in a bush in the Magomano area of Theta Ward, Juja sub-county.

The man had serious scratches on his head and neck, and his eyeballs had been gouged out, according to a police incident report. The body was severely disfigured by individuals who were obviously on a strange mission.


The rider never returned from his job after leaving his house. They became concerned and began searching for him as a family. Family members looked through all the local police stations and hospitals, along with some villagers and other boda boda riders, but they were unable to locate him.

The area chief confirmed the occurrence and stated they believe the victim may have been killed someplace else before his body was disposed of in the bush.


The family has requested that the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) move quickly to find the people responsible for the horrible act and take them into custody. The murder is being looked into by homicide specialists from the Directorate of Criminal Investigation (DCI). The last moments of the rider before he vanished are already being pieced together by the detectives.
