Jowie Irungu, who was found guilty of killing businesswoman Monica Kimani, appeared in court before his sentencing.

During his appearance, Jowie was seen looking sleek with an ease of mind and a smile. Netizens were quick to notice his outfit because he was wearing a navy blue don’t ‘touch my ankles’ suit with a pair of black tassel shoes. He also had an African shirt, which complimented his whole outfit.

However, Jowie will have a chance to mitigate before he is sentenced, intending to persuade the judge to impose a light sentence.

Last month, Jowie was found guilty of the murder, while his co-accused, Jacque Maribe, was found not guilty. The two were charged with murder together.

The prosecution's inability to identify Maribe as having been present at the crime scene led to her acquittal.

The judge stated, "It is my considered view that the charge brought against the second accused person (Jacque Maribe) was not the proper charge," and that they had not presented enough evidence to implicate Maribe.

Jowie could not contain his tears as the judge described in detail how he thought about Monica's murder up until the point of execution while the court was rendering its decision that day.

The judge ruled that Monica's injuries indicated a planned incident due to their nature.

The court ruled that Monica's neck being cut to the back was similar to butchering a goat.
