A 26-year-old man is charged with murder and other crimes after reportedly killing three people, including his 13-year-old sister.

Andre Gordon is charged with murder, burglary, and assault in Pennsylvania, as well as several other criminal offenses relating to the shootings, according to court filings.

Gordon is suspected of killing three individuals in Falls Township on Saturday morning before crossing state borders and being apprehended. The attacks were carried out using an "AR-15 style assault rifle," according to Falls Township Police Chief Nelson Whitney.

According to Pennsylvania court filings, Gordon has not sought a public defender, and New Jersey officials stated early Sunday that his defense attorney is unknown.

The crime spree prompted temporary shelter-in-place orders for Falls Township residents as officials sought the culprit, finally leading police to a residence miles away in Trenton, New Jersey, where Gordon is now facing carjacking and handgun possession charges.

According to Wilson, Gordon was brought into custody without incident. Authorities in Trenton, New Jersey, were hunting for Gordon and first believed he was locked inside a residence, forcing the establishment of a cordon around the area, he added.

“Apparently, before the perimeter was completed, the suspect was able to get out of the location unseen. However, our information was that he was still in there,” Wilson said.

Trenton Mayor Reed Gusciora said Gordon was apprehended two blocks away from the residence, where police believed he was barricaded. The suspect did not have any weapons when detained and cooperated with authorities. Gusciora stated that he was "really grateful" following Gordon's arrest.

According to a news release from New Jersey Attorney General Matthew Platkin's office, Gordon faces seven charges in addition to the Pennsylvania charges, including first-degree carjacking, second-degree possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose, and second-degree unlawful possession of an assault firearm.
