A 23-year-old woman is hospitalized at Magunga Level 4 Hospital after her husband chopped off her fingers and hit their son in Suba South, Homa Bay County.

The woman’s husband is on the run, attacked her and the 2-year-old son with a blunt object and chopped off her three fingers at the Magunga trading center.

Magunga Hospital’s doctor in charge, Richard Ojuok, says the two are now in stable condition at the hospital where they were admitted after the incident.

Confirming the incident, Suba Sub County Deputy County Commissioner Sebastian Okiring said authorities have launched a manhunt for the suspect, who is still at large.
