A woman who was allegedly found trafficking 135kg of bhang valued at Ksh.4 million pleaded not guilty in court while being arraigned on Monday.
Regina Akoth Kungu, 30, was arraigned at the SRM court in Kwale, according to the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI). She was released on a Ksh.50,000 cash bail after contesting the charges against her.
On Saturday, Kungu was captured in Mombasa at her Diani residence. There, multiple bags containing drugs and Ksh. 12,100 in cash—possibly the earnings from her drug sales—were taken.
