The Royal Malaysian Navy said in a statement that two helicopters collided in midair on Tuesday during a practice for a parade, resulting in the deaths of ten people.
The navy reported that the incident happened at the Lumut naval base in the western state of Perak at 9:32 a.m. on Tuesday (0132 GMT) and that all 10 crew members were on board the aircraft involved.
"All victims were confirmed dead at the scene and sent to the Lumut army base hospital for identification," according to the navy.
