Former Lukenya area chief Tirus Ndambuki Musyoka has been fined Ksh.200,000 or faces a four-year prison sentence after being convicted on multiple counts of bribery and abuse of office.
Nairobi Anti-Corruption Court Principal Magistrate Isabellah Barasa issued the ruling, emphasizing the gravity of Musyoka’s offenses.
In 2019, Musyoka accepted a Ksh. 50,000 bribe from Peter Muhia Njega to release Njega’s cattle, which had been held at KBC Police Station.
This illegal activity also implicated Chief Inspector Francis Bundi Wilson, the former Officer Commanding Station (OCS) at KBC Police Station, and Inspector Kyalo Munyao Nthiwa, the former OCS at Joska Police Post. Both officers were convicted of two counts of bribery and fined Ksh.100,000 each, with the option of serving a two-year prison term.
