**Notorious Drug Trafficker Arrested in Mombasa, Narcotics Seized**
Mombasa, Kenya – A woman suspected of being a major drug trafficker was apprehended on Friday in the Utange area of Mombasa. Authorities also recovered substances believed to be narcotics from her residence.
Anita Michael was arrested by anti-narcotics detectives after members of the public raised concerns about suspicious activity at her home. According to the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI), residents had reported frequent visits by young individuals allegedly seeking illegal supplies.

"Acting on a tip-off, officers conducted a pre-dawn raid at the suspect's house and seized 100 pellets of a brownish powdery substance believed to be heroin, along with an unspecified quantity of suspected marijuana. Cash suspected to be proceeds from drug sales was also confiscated," the DCI stated.
The suspect is currently in custody as investigations continue at Bamburi Police Station.
