Three alleged drug traffickers have been detained by Nairobi police detectives from the anti-narcotics section.

The Directorate of Criminal Investigations reports that undercover agents working with intelligence apprehended a boda boda driver in the Uthiru neighbourhood who was found to have 222 heroin sachets hidden under his jacket.

After being questioned, the rider, 32-year-old Selestino Inee, showed the security guards where to find his 44-year-old accomplice Pepriter Kadenyi's home.

Several things from Kadenyi's home were seized, and among them was more of the suspected heroin-like granular substance.

Two digital weighing scales and dry marijuana with a street worth of Sh 100,000 were also found, according to the DCI.

The two suspects were detained a day after another raid in the nearby Rirurta Satellite neighbourhood, where cops found 13 cocaine sachets on 40-year-old Vincent Amufa.

The three accused are being held at the Muthaiga Police Station while they await their Tuesday arraignment.
