The Football Association has accused Liverpool of losing control of its players during Saturday's 4-1 loss against Manchester City.

For Rodri's charge on Cody Gakpo, several Liverpool players surrounded referee Simon Hooper and begged him to issue a second yellow card.

The 34th minute of Liverpool FC's Premier League encounter versus Manchester City FC saw its players surround a match official, according to a statement from the FA on Thursday.

It is alleged that Liverpool FC failed to guarantee that its players behaved adequately and did not misbehave.

Liverpool has until April 12 to answer the accusations. They currently play league leaders Arsenal on Sunday and are in seventh place.
