Ahmed Rashid, a police officer accused of killing two young men in Nairobi, has finally entered a plea to murder charges.
Rashid pled not guilty in front of High Court Judge Diana Mochache.
After High Court Judge Diana Mochache denied his jurisdictional application, Rashid entered his plea.
Justice Mochache concluded that the court has jurisdiction to hear the murder case and that the application contesting the court's jurisdiction was filed too soon.

He is suspected of murdering two teens in 2017, raising concerns about extrajudicial killings when video footage of the shootings went public.
On March 31, 2017, Ahmed Rashid was videotaped shooting two young guys as they lay on the ground on a crowded street in Nairobi's capital.
Last year, the Independent Policing Oversight Authority (IPOA) suggested murder charges against him, stating that its investigation into the murders "established that the fatalities were occasioned by police action."
Rashid, on the other hand, denied the accusations, stating to the Nairobi High Court that he was a police officer who followed the law and he did his job.
