Embu North Subcounty detectives in Embu County have initiated an inquiry into the heinous murder of a father and his kid in the Kiini - Mukangu district of Embu County.

Residents uncovered a shallow burial at a homestead, and after digging, Luka Mbogo, 57, was discovered buried.

The deceased's son, Eric Mbogo, 25, was first suspected of committing the crime.

When detectives unlocked the door to gather more evidence, they discovered the son's lifeless body in a pool of blood on his bed.

According to Embu North Subcounty Police Commander Abdullahi Adan, both of their necks were slit, indicating that the attackers used a panga and other rudimentary weapons.

DCC Embu North William Owino, who addressed a crowd assembled to witness the heinous scene, called for public members to provide authorities with information to investigate the strange deaths.

In other news, The body of an unidentified middle-aged woman was discovered wrapped in a suitcase and dumped outside rental homes in Kiambu County's Kamakis district.

According to investigators, the victim, which was still warm, had wounds on the right side of her face and the right eye.

As a result, authorities suspect the victim was murdered somewhere, and his body was discovered last night in the area.

"Nobody has been able to identify the body; the body of the deceased looks like she was in her early twenties. There are no serious physical injuries apart from a slight one on the right side of her face. She may have been crushed on the wall," Ruiru DCIO Justus Ombati told Citizen Digital.

Residents in the area, led by Gikumari Chief Joseph Ndwiga, criticized the act as barbaric.

"We have never seen anything like this around here, we are very shocked and we ask relevant authorities to take up the matter for proper and conclusive investigation." Ndwiga said.

Officers from Ruiru Police Station collected evidence and details that will aid in identifying the deceased, which was then sent to City Mortuary for preservation pending autopsy.
