A 24-year-old woman was apprehended in Kitengela, Kajiado County, on April 24 for fatally stabbing her 2-year-old daughter. She has admitted to committing the crime and provided a reason for her actions. An online video depicted the woman reciting the alphabet while repeatedly stabbing the child.
"I do not love myself and that is the reason why I decided to take the life of my daughter," the lady said.
As per reports, the woman's parents were not present when she fatally stabbed her 2-year-old daughter in Kitengela, Kajiado County, on April 24. Neighbours who witnessed the incident alleged that the woman was mentally unstable.
Subsequently, the woman admitted that her breakup with the child's father had affected her, as she explained her motivation for the crime.

In her statement to the press, the woman acknowledged that she had attacked her baby because she loathed herself and had endured significant suffering with her child. The incident took place while onlookers attempted to intervene, but they were unable to enter the room, and could only observe helplessly through the window as the woman repeatedly stabbed the young child.
Despite the lack of physical access, the witnesses contacted the police and alerted them to the situation, hoping for their prompt intervention.
Reports suggest that the woman collapsed and was taken to Kitengela Sub-County Hospital due to overwhelming feelings of guilt following the incident.
