President Biden officially stated on Tuesday that he will run for a second term as 2nd term President of the United States in the 2024 election, following months of speculation.
"When I ran for president about four years ago, I said we were fighting for America's soul." And we are still. The question is whether we will have more or less freedom in the next few years. "More rights or fewer rights," Biden asked in a three-minute video declaring his candidacy.
The movie juxtaposes images from the Capitol riots on January 6 with protests over the Supreme Court's decision to repeal abortion rights.
At 80, Joe Biden is the oldest president in history, which has given Democrats pause, with some doubting whether he provides them the best chance of winning. However, the former vice president and veteran Delaware senator will unlikely face a serious primary challenge.
