Two guys have been pronounced dead in Nyeri town following a fight over a Ksh.20 debt.
According to a police complaint, Kelvin Wachira was stabbed deeply in the neck by Githinji after a struggle erupted after the two disagreed on collecting the debt.
According to eyewitnesses, Githinji attempted to flee the scene but was apprehended by a mob who attacked him.
Both were eventually declared dead at Nyeri Provincial General Hospital, where they were transported for treatment.

Their bodies were brought to the mortuary at Nyeri Referral Hospital.
In other news, On April 24, a 24-year-old lady was caught in Kitengela, Kajiado County, for fatally stabbing her 2-year-old daughter. She has admitted to the crime and explained her actions. An online video showed the woman reciting the alphabet while stabbing the toddler repeatedly.
"I do not love myself and that is the reason why I decided to take the life of my daughter," the lady said.
According to reports, the woman's parents were absent when she fatally stabbed her 2-year-old daughter on April 24 in Kitengela, Kajiado County. Witnesses to the incident claimed that the woman was psychologically unstable.
As she revealed her reason for the crime, the woman admitted that her split with the child's father had harmed her. The woman admitted to the press that she had abused her baby because she despised herself and had undergone great anguish with her child. Onlookers attempted to interfere but could not enter the room and could only watch helplessly from the window as the woman repeatedly stabbed the tiny child.
Despite the lack of physical access, the witnesses contacted the police and alerted them to the situation, hoping for prompt intervention.
Reports suggest that the woman collapsed and was taken to Kitengela Sub-County Hospital due to overwhelming guilt following the incident.
