A 61-year-old woman from Mukuru Kwa Njenga slums is being treated at the Mama Lucy Kibaki Hospital after being injured by a preacher who claimed to be 'delivering' her from illness.
The man of the cloth, Daniel Muriithi, is accused of entering his arms and hands into the woman's private regions and extracting some of her internal organs, resulting in massive blood loss.
After being in pain for a long time, the woman from Kisii County was reportedly sent to the self-proclaimed preacher for healing by her children.

According to a resident, the woman was bleeding heavily from the pastor's actions and was in the house for over a week waiting for her deliverance.
After one of the local elders, Dominic Ndungu, heard furious yells from the rogue preacher's house. He reported the matter to the area chief.
Ndungu explained that when he entered the residence, he discovered the pastor naked and the wife unconscious on the bed.
He said that he then questioned Muriithi about the blood basins and what seemed to be body organs.
“Wakati niliingia pale ndani, nikapata mzee anaitwa pastor Muriithi hana nguo, nikauliza na hii damu iko hapa chini ni ya nini na hizi nyama ninaona hapa na ule mama naona pale kwa kitanda ni nini? Na huyu pastor akaniambia huyu ni mgonjwa na alikuwa amekuja hapa nimfanyie deliverance,” narrated Ndungu.
Residents of Mukuru Kwa Njenga have warned Kenyans to exercise caution in the face of the proliferation of several religious denominations and rogue pastors.
