Police in California have arrested a man suspected of breaking into homes and fondling women's feet while they slept.
According to Sky News, Mark Anthony Gonzales, who is 26 years old, is accused of gaining entry to the houses at a resort on the Nevada-California border between July 1 and July 3.
According to authorities, the suspect obtained unauthorized entry into the homes and entered the bedrooms of sleeping women, touching their feet.
The women both awoke and confronted him, but he fled the scene. Investigators used forensics to identify Gonzales as the alleged offender positively.
According to local officials, he has also been tied to many trespassing and shoe theft cases, as well as engaging in sexual self-gratification during some of the instances.
Law enforcement officers voiced fear about Gonzales' crimes becoming more serious. He was charged with two charges of burglary and two counts of violence after his arrest.
Gonzales is being held at the Merced County Jail on a fugitive warrant and will be extradited to Douglas County to face prosecution for his crimes.
