A Makueni man is due to face charges after being suspected of murdering his former boss and attempting suicide.
The man from Mukaa sub-county is claimed to have stabbed his former boss, a lady, in the neck before attempting to turn the knife on himself before being apprehended by neighbors.
Barbanas Ng'eno, the Mukaa sub-county police chief, confirmed the occurrence, adding the suspect, who suffered injuries, will be arraigned in court after being released from the hospital.

In other news, A two-year-old boy died on Thursday after being stung by a swarm of bees at his family's home in Chepkosa village, Bomet county.
Five more family members were left with critical sting wounds after the incident. Stanley Mutai, a disaster management official for Bomet County, confirmed the occurrence.
"The child was playing outside their house when bees suddenly started hovering around the compound - and began to sting everyone who was outside," Mutai explained.
The boy was transported to the Sigor sub-county hospital in an attempt to save his life, but he was pronounced dead upon arrival.
Other members of the family were treated and released.
According to Mutai, the bees circled above the area for hours, forcing neighbors to lock themselves inside their homes for fear of being attacked. The body was transferred to the mortuary at Longisa Referral Hospital.
