Police officers in kisii county have initiated an investigation into the deaths of a mother and her two children in Riamasagara.
Kisii County Commander Charles Kases confirmed the event, saying that the trio suffered major burns from the fire that burned their residence on Wednesday night, despite efforts to put it out.
The two youngsters, ages 10 and 12, perished in the house while their mother died in Nyangena Hospital while receiving medical care.

Another kid who escaped with terrible injuries is in critical condition at Kisii Referral Hospital. The cause of the fire has yet to be determined, according to authorities.
During the incident, the father is also said to have escaped through a window. The bodies of the deceased have been sent to Kisii Teaching and Referral Hospital for autopsies.
