Russian military attacked several cities with aerial raids overnight, according to statements made by Ukrainian officials on Thursday. At least two persons were killed.

The military of Ukraine referred to the Russian action as a "massive missile attack on the civilian infrastructure of a number of regions."

Oleksandr Prokudin, the regional governor of Kherson, reported that two persons were killed and five others were injured when a Russian strike hit a residential structure.

The commander of the military administration in Kyiv, Sergiy Popko, stated on Telegram that after air defenses shot down Russian missiles, debris rained over the Ukrainian capital.

Seven people were hurt, and many buildings were damaged, according to Vitalii Klitschko, the mayor of Kyiv.

Oleh Syniehubov, the regional governor of Kharkiv in northeastern Ukraine, claimed that at least six Russian airstrikes damaged civilian facilities in Kharkiv.

On Thursday, Russia claimed to have shot down 19 Ukrainian drones over the Black Sea and Crimean Peninsula, which it has occupied.

In addition, three Ukrainian drones were shot down, according to the Russian military ministry, over the Russian areas of Kursk, Belgorod, and Orlov.

Poland's aid

Poland announced on Thursday that it will only give Ukraine weaponry and ammunition deliveries that had been previously agreed upon.

A day earlier, Polish Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki declared a cease to arms transfers to Ukraine for Poland to arm itself "with the most modern weapons." The government spokesperson's remark followed that announcement.

Since Poland temporarily restricted grain imports from Ukraine to safeguard Polish farmers, tensions between the two countries have increased.
