A Kenyan man was sentenced to 28 years in prison in the united kingdom for grooming and raping a young girl in the Inner London district of Hackey.
Anthony Maina, 52, was sentenced on Thursday after being convicted of 17 charges, including seven instances of rape.
According to the London Evening Standard, the court was told how Maina purchased the teen gifts, clothing, food, and mobile phones to gain her trust and groom her.

The pedophile referred to the youngster as "his girl" and his "best friend in the universe," and he regularly accused her of "neglecting" him if she did not keep in touch.
He would also urge her to come to his property under pretenses, such as to receive a parcel or to let some workmen in, and then abuse her, according to the newspaper.
When she began to resist his attempts, the 52-year-old would persuade her relatives to push her to go to his residence by claiming she was useless.
In December 2018, the youngster reported Maina to her local police station, and an investigation was initiated.
On Thursday, an investigating officer said in court that Maina's offenses were among the most "vile and despicable psychological manipulation and sexual abuse I have ever encountered." It sickens me to think that people like Maina exist."
Detective Constable Stefan Wimmer said that Maina did not show a flicker of remorse throughout the investigation and tried to claim in an interview that the survivor was merely a troublemaker to discredit her.
"The survivor, on the other hand, has shown an immense amount of patience, courage, and resolve since the moment she came to the police and I have nothing but admiration for her." he added
