It looks like Mumias East MP Peter Salasya does not like how kenyans are joking about Mwalimu wa math to show that they made it in life despite their criticisms.
In a video seen by waza Salasya said that the joke had gone too far and that many people had lost respect for the maths teachers, whom he referred to as "the pillars of everyone's success in life."
Salasya singled out Diana Marua, who he alleges is regularly repeating the term when bragging about her achievements on social media.

"Teachers have played a huge role in everyone's life, which is why the majority of them have blessed families." "Any teacher, even if there are some elements in the family, there will be at least one successful child," Salasya remarked.
"Let's not insult maths teachers; those people are blessed," he continued. Because they brought out the best in you."
According to the MP, the jokes about maths teachers are likely to demotivate them and inflict disgrace on them anytime they are in class.
"Respect that person, he is your foundation," he said at the end.
