Video Producer Jibril Blessing, famously known as J Blessing, has finally responded to claims he physically assaulted his long-time lover, singer Avril.
Blessing claims that the photos the singer shared of her being all bruised up are not recent but rather from an incident that happened over a year ago. he claims that they had an altercation over a year ago that saw the two of them engage in a fight and that they were both injured.
"About a year ago, we had a physical altercation where both of us got hurt, and I immediately took her to the hospital. I take full responsibility for that moment of weakness," he said.

"One of the pictures she posted was from that incident," he added.
J Blessing also stated that the two had another dispute yesterday night, but was not a battering event as previously reported.
"I want everyone to know that I did not beat her, that I am not an abuser, and that I do not support violence." "I am a person who has made mistakes in my life."
He said they had agreed to go their separate ways despite being together for over seven years and having a son.
"Avril and I have agreed that is best for both of us to stay away from each other to prevent such incidents from happening again," he said.
