Recently, Charlene Ruto has been the target of harsh criticism on the internet for her attire choices while visiting Qatar and attending the Doha Forum Youth Edition.

The first daughter chose to share a collection of photos from the occasion, but Kenyans quickly criticized her for her attire.

Charlene has received criticism for her sense of style and wardrobe choices before.

Kenyans have previously asked her to make more of an effort with her appearance; TikTok user Mourine Mwangi even offered to style her hair.

She told Charlene how much she respected her and said she was kindly applying for the job because she believed she could do it.

Mummie Francie, a popular TikTok user, also criticized Charlene for her attire on Jamhuri Day.

“The dress…I acknowledge that the cost of the dress is enough to feed me for three years but no. It is a beautiful dress but not for the occasion.”

Mummie said, “You see these deras, I can make them into lovely gowns. I’m happy to work with you to get clothes for different events. You can have a dress made just for you that will fit you properly."

The person who made the video also mentioned seeing Charlene with shorter wigs—they fit her better than the longer ones. She continued by saying that Charlene's hairstyles are a "cry for assistance."
