“I'm incredibly thankful for the vision and faith NBCUniversal has put in me to be a larger part of their family,” she said in a statement. “I’m looking forward to being back on The Real Housewives of Atlanta, and showing the world my new world!”

“Porsha Williams Guobadia is a multi-hyphenate and we are fortunate to collaborate and tap into her creativity and passion through this partnership,” Rachel Smith, Executive Vice President of Unscripted Content, Lifestyle and Documentaries, NBCUniversal Entertainment, shared in a statement. “Our audience has supported and admired Porsha as she so authentically, hilariously and vulnerably shared her life over the years and we couldn’t be more excited to welcome her back to the NBCU family.”

Porsha made her own announcement Tuesday on Instagram.

Porsha left RHOA several months after news surfaced that she was engaged to her now-husband, Simon Guobadia. They met during the filming of season 13, where Simon was introduced to viewers as the then-wife of Falynn Pina, a recurring guest on the show presented as Williams Guobadia's "friend."

Simon Guobadia and Falynn Pina had already separated when he began dating Porsha Williams Guobadia. However, at the time of their public announcement, viewers were unaware of the separation, sparking rumors and speculation. Porsha Williams' choice to leave RHOA prompted questions regarding the motivations behind her departure.

RHOA cameras have documented Porsha Williams Guobadia's journey through numerous highs and lows in her personal life. When she initially joined the show in season 5, she was married to former football star Kordell Stewart. However, she discovered through a social media post not long after that he was divorcing her. Her engagement to ex-fiancé Dennis McKinley unraveled due to infidelity, and despite having a child together—4-year-old daughter Pilar Jhena McKinley—the birth contributed to her battle with postpartum depression.

Williams Guobadia revealed that she had made the decision to depart from RHOA for season 14 nearly a year prior.
