American pop star Ariana Grande's divorce from ex-husband Dalton Gomez is finalized, and the singer will have to pay him $1.2 million (ksh 159,263,012).
The singer filed for divorce six months ago, claiming irreconcilable differences.
The two started dating in January 2020, just before the COVID-19 outbreak, and they married in a "small and intimate" wedding at her house in Montecito, California, in May 2021.
In addition to the one-time payment, the settlement grants Mr Gomez half of the earnings from selling their Los Angeles house.

Ariana Grande will also pay up to $25,000 in legal expenses, with no future alimony.
According to his biography on the AKG website, Mr Gomez grew up in southern California and has been in the premium real estate market for a decade.
He and Grande were first seen kissing in February 2020 at a restaurant in Los Angeles.
In May that year, they made their first public appearance as a couple in the lockdown music video for Grande and Justin Bieber's duet, Stuck With U.
