On Sunday evening, Daniella took to Instagram to declare her separation from Chameleone, asserting that she is now a single mother who has liberated herself from domestic violence.
Daniella Atim has revealed that she is no longer in a relationship, marking the conclusion of her 17-year marriage to the renowned singer Joseph Mayanja, commonly known as Jose Chameleone.
Chameleone and Daniella exchanged vows in a vibrant ceremony on June 7th, 2007, and have since welcomed five children into their family. Despite encountering hurdles in their relationship, they maintained discretion regarding their issues until Daniella departed from Chameleone's residence in 2017, seeking refuge at Sipapa's residence. Subsequently, she initiated divorce proceedings at Nakawa Magistrate Court, citing instances of brutality. However, the couple managed to reconcile and 'reunite' during that period.

In February 2019, Daniella and her children made the move to the USA after Jose Chameleone invested over $200,000 in acquiring a mansion in Minneapolis, Minnesota. However, signs emerged indicating that Daniella had severed ties with Chameleone, evident from her cryptic social media posts and audio recordings.

The situation escalated in September 2020 when an audio recording surfaced featuring Daniella Atim stating that she no longer saw Jose Chameleone as a romantic partner but rather as a brother. Then, in August 2022, Daniella publicly criticized Chameleone's mother on Instagram for failing to intervene when Weasel Manizo assaulted Sandra Teta, suggesting a pattern of overlooking such behavior.
Daniella finally spoke up in October 2023, revealing that she had split up with Chameleone because of his drinking, his unpredictable ways, and his late-night trips home. They are no longer husband and wife, she said, even though she respects him as a parent to their kids. Instead of settling in Kampala, Daniella intends to build her own house in Uganda.

Chameleone has been trying in vain to make amends with Daniella ever since she went to the US five years ago.
Daniella announced her split from Chameleone on Instagram on Sunday night, saying that she is now a single mother and has emancipated herself from domestic abuse.
"My name is Daniella, and I live in a suburb of Minnesota with my five children. My faith in Jesus has been a source of strength, guiding me through difficult times. I am a social person who enjoys being around others. It took me a long time to become social again after enduring domestic violence for 16 years. I am also a food enthusiast who loves coffee and hot tea.
Five years ago, I moved to the US seeking asylum from various challenges, including domestic violence. I am now a single mom raising my children independently. Despite the seriousness of the years passing by, I choose to embrace life anew while focusing on healing myself. I am a beautiful work in progress, and I advocate saying no to domestic violence," Daniella Atim wrote in her Instagram post.
