Renowned radio and TV personality Amina Abdi Rabar has stepped forward to support her former colleague, award-winning DJ Joe Mfalme, amidst allegations of assaulting a Directorate of Criminal Investigations police officer, resulting in the officer's tragic demise.
Amina, the current host of 'The Trend' on NTV every Friday evening, expressed her confidence in Mfalme's character, stating that she knows him well and firmly believes that he wouldn't engage in any action that could jeopardize another person's life.
"Joe Mfalme is innocent. I said what I said. He is the kindest, most hardworking person I know. He can't harm anyone. No matter how they try to flip it in the media, people who know you, know you could never do this. God will get you through. This too shall pass, my brother. I know you aren't the one who did this. Let's prove your innocence," she wrote on her Instagram page.
On Monday, the DJ and his associates were brought before the Kibera Law Courts and charged with murder.
During the court proceedings, the prosecution requested the court to grant permission for the detention of the accused individuals to facilitate the completion of their investigations.
