In a quaint village steeped in Kikuyu tradition, a funeral ceremony took an unexpected turn when two young TikTokers caused a stir by dressing in women's attire and makeup. Their unconventional choice of clothing, vastly different from the customary norms, left the villagers both bewildered and disapproving.

The villagers are now organizing a cleansing ceremony, with the intention of dispelling any lingering negative energy and reinstating harmony within their community. This traditional ritual holds profound significance, symbolizing their united commitment to preserving the sanctity of their cultural heritage and safeguarding their values and beliefs against perceived threats.

Hundreds of supporters and friends of Brian Chira have gathered to bid him farewell as he is laid to rest in Gathanje, Ingitei village, Githunguri, Kiambu County.

Attendees don shirts emblazoned with his favorite catchphrases, such as "Kama wewe si pesa huwezi nipa tension," and his signature line, "I am Chira, Brian Chira."

Chira's remains have departed Kenyatta University's mortuary and are en route to Githunguri, Kiambu, for burial. Baba Talisha has announced that there will be no viewing of the body once it leaves the mortuary. As per his grandmother's request, Chira will be laid to rest in a graduation gown.

Authorities are investigating the circumstances surrounding Chira's passing. Reports indicate that he was struck by a speeding vehicle in the Karuri neighborhood, after which his body was transported to the City mortuary before being transferred to Kenyatta University's mortuary.

The TikTok community in Kenya has shown immense generosity, raising over Sh8 million to support Chira's grandmother and cover the burial expenses.
