The government is dedicated to resolving the conflict between the military and the people living in Kamagut and Kiplombe in Uasin Gishu County, according to Defence Cabinet Secretary Aden Duale.
Prior to touring the disputed land, Duale addressed the Uasin Gishu leadership in Eldoret town and promised that he and land officials would make every effort to find a permanent solution.
"Lands CS and PS, as well as the Land Commission, are committed." KDF is determined to find a solution. Duale stated, "We want to finish this and move on to other counties.
The CS emphasized that the military owns the aforementioned land and warned anyone who incites the locals that they will face consequences.

Duale stated that there are disputes over military land in six counties, and the government is acting quickly to safeguard them.
"Our camps are security installations. Let us solve these issues, that land belongs to government," added the CS.
He urged the local authorities to work with the government to find a long-term resolution to the conflict, which has taken decades to resolve.
