DJ Joe Mfalme has spoken out after being freed from custody and feels bumbled by the situation.

The prominent DJ just turned state witness after spending 14 days in detention in a murder case against a senior police officer who died last month.

Mfalme also seemed gruff, contrasting with his tidy, clean-shaven appearance.  The DJ chose not to discuss the ongoing case but said that he needed a bath and a shave.

"Lawyer ashaaongea, siongei sana. "Wacha hata nikaoge na nikanyolewe," he says.

"Kila Kitu Imeenda Poa. Lawyer Ashaasema. Mimi, learn the lesson... "Fourteen days!"

He also advised the audience to constantly be mindful of their behavior, putting his finger to his mouth and stating, "Ukiongelesha mtu...."

His movements seemed to caution one always to be cautious.

The DJ and six others have been in detention for 14 days.

They had been detained at the request of the Directorate of Criminal Investigations and the state so that investigations into the death of Kabete detective Felix Kelian could be completed.

When they arrived in court today for an appearance, Kibera Magistrate Margaret Murage was informed that the DPP had decided to use the DJ and six respondents as state witnesses.

The DJ's hypeman, Allan Ochieng', alias Hype Ballo, was sent to the Kiambu High Court for a plea to murder.

The court ruled on Monday that Mwenda and five co-accused, including three police officers, will be appointed state witnesses.
