Diamond Platnumz has addressed criticism from social media users who condemned him for instructing his bodyguard to retrieve his green cap after it was stolen at an event in Dodoma last year.
Diamond dismissed allegations of any supernatural influence associated with the cap.
"It is not witchcraft-infused or anything of the sort. It's not that expensive as well," he said.
"I was in South Africa and I really looked for a cap that was closed in the back, but most of them had an opening. I went through an entire mall and only found one cap, which is this one and bought it. And this was a perfect time," he explained
Adding, "When I went to Dodoma, it was stolen, how do I let it go?"

Diamond made these remarks during a press conference convened on Thursday in Dar Es Salaam. He sported the same cap, complementing it with a green sweat-suit and white sneakers.
He further explained that his determination to retrieve the cap stemmed from the hardships he endured to acquire such a unique piece.
