In recent weeks, numerous internet users have likely been pondering the identity of the man who proposed to Anerlisa Muigai, heiress of Keroche Breweries. This curiosity stems from the widespread news in March that the successful businesswoman had accepted her partner's proposal.

During the extravagant occasion, which drew notable attendees like her mother Senator Tabitha Karanja, Senator Tabitha Mutinda, and Hon. Esther Okenyuri, the identity of Anerlisa Muigai's fiancé remained shrouded in mystery. Despite assumptions that she might be engaged to businessman Melvin Ibrahim, whom she had been dating for some time, his identity was never officially confirmed after the event.

Contrary to previous assumptions, the true identity of Anerlisa Muigai's fiancé has finally emerged. She is engaged to Josiah Kariuki Kimani, a well-known figure in the agricultural sector. Recently, he has been embroiled in controversy regarding his alleged involvement in a Kshs 209 million fake fertilizer scandal.

Mr. Kimani faces accusations of packaging soil conditioner and misrepresenting it as organic fertilizer, which was then distributed to farmers through SBL Innovative Manufacturers Limited and African Diatomite Industries Limited. These details surfaced through disclosures made by blogger Cyprian Nyakundi, who shared screenshots from a clandestine WhatsApp group that Anerlisa Muigai was a part of. In these messages, Muigai sought financial assistance from her friends to secure her fiancé's bail of Kshs 3 million.

According to the screenshot, some of the friends of Josiah Kariuki had raised Kshs 1.8 million, and so Anerlisa Muigai was asking her friends to top up the Kshs 1.2 million that was remaining.

Cyprian Nyakundi's post was actually true, because Anerlisa Muigai also reacted to it and she was furious at the person who leaked the details of the group to the blogger.

The CEO of Nero Company Limited, Anerlisa Muigai, known for her outspokenness, took to her Instagram stories on Tuesday night to address what she perceived as a significant betrayal. In her post, Muigai asserted that she managed to raise the necessary funds without the involvement of the individual who leaked the private chats. She proudly announced that her fiancé, Josiah Kariuki, was now out of custody.

"When you thought you had real friends then boom 💥, a blogger sends you a screenshot from a very enclosed group. Tomorrow could be you. Atleast I know I can't count on everyone and that's okay. And Yes we managed to get out without your help. We good #GodFirst".
