Rapper King Kaka has revealed that he spent at least Ksh. 6 million on his recently launched TV series “Monkey Business.”
King mentioned that filming for the movie began in December last year, and by January 2024, they were already progressing with it.
“Between December and now, we’ve spent at least Sh6 million, so I will do the math to determine how much money we’ve made,” King Kaka said.
He went on to say that a total of 162 people have been part of the production.
“The lowest set was at least 40 people, but there were instances where the number increased to 162,” he added.
“This is my second film, and I am very happy. I hear some people missed seats today, and I am very grateful because it just shows that people are pleased with the Kenyan film industry,” he continued.
King Kaka expressed his gratitude to those who attended the first show.
“I loved this event, seeing Kenyans dressed up. Tailors have had a good week, people who made decorations, and even those who bought our banners,”
He said he cast Scar Mkadinali as the main character in the series, stating that they are friends and he also loves films.
“Scar has been a great friend and he also loves films. So, I took him to acting classes, and he did very well,” King Kaka explained.
