YG is bringing peace to Compton over a shared meal, leading a walk to end long-standing conflicts between rival gangs, the Treetop Pirus and Fruit Town Pirus. The rapper spearheaded the truce and walk on Sunday, with gang members, families, and children joining him on the streets of Compton.

During the walk, YG made a stop at Tam’s Burgers, where the entire group piled into the small shop with music playing. YG even showed off some dance moves while grabbing a bite to eat, joined by many of the marchers who also enjoyed a meal alongside him.

The walk began at Gonzales Park, a local hangout spot, where YG took photos with attendees eager to snap a picture with the star. The Game, one of YG’s famous friends, also showed up to support the event, taking pictures under a shady tree to escape the Los Angeles heat.

This walk was more than just a symbolic gesture. YG has been facilitating dialogue between the two sides, encouraging them to come together for the long term. His new album, "JUST RE'D UP 3," dropped on Friday, and YG has a history of using his platform for social causes. He even recorded a music video at a Black Lives Matter protest weeks after George Floyd’s murder in 2020.

It seems YG is committed to maintaining peace in his community—and a good meal certainly helps bring people together.
