Another twist has emerged in the Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck divorce saga—Jennifer wants to drop his last name and return to her maiden name.

Waza News obtained the divorce documents Jennifer filed on Tuesday, where she checked the box to restore her name to Jennifer Lynn Lopez. She had taken Ben's last name when they married in July 2022, but now that she’s moving to officially end the marriage, it seems she’s ready to part ways with being an Affleck.

Jennifer filed the divorce papers under her legal name, Jennifer Lynn Affleck, but is requesting to revert to her original name. Waza News previously reported that Jennifer filed for divorce at L.A. County Superior Court without an attorney, on what would have been their 2-year wedding anniversary.

\Interestingly, the divorce filing doesn’t mention a prenuptial agreement, and sources say there isn’t one—a surprising detail for a high-profile couple like Jennifer and Ben. The two have been trying to negotiate a settlement for months, but the discussions have reportedly become increasingly contentious, with periods where they weren’t even speaking to each other.

Jennifer’s desire to shed the Affleck name seems to highlight the growing tension between them.
