DDG and Halle Bailey appeared to be an ideal couple. The rapper and YouTuber, along with the singer, publicly announced their relationship in 2022 and welcomed a child together a year later. Unfortunately, it seems their romance has come to an end, as DDG, whose real name is Darryl Dwayne Granberry Jr., confirmed the breakup on October 3.

In a lengthy Instagram post, he reassured fans that he and Bailey remain best friends and plan to co-parent their son. DDG explained that the decision to part ways followed extensive discussions. “We believe it’s the best path forward for both of us,” he wrote, expressing appreciation for their time together and the love they shared. He emphasized that there are no hard feelings between them.

The former couple still considers each other best friends. “We are still best friends and we adore each other,” he stated. “We cherish the bond we've built and the beautiful moments we've shared.” DDG also requested fans to be supportive during this challenging transition.

Rumors have circulated about underlying issues in their relationship. In 2023, DDG released the song "Famous," which includes lyrics referencing Bailey kissing her *Little Mermaid* co-star, Jonah Hauer-King, during promotional events. This evidently upset DDG, who rapped, "Filmin’ a movie, now you kissing dudes. You know I love you a lot... I don’t wanna see this sh*t no more." The lyrics also hinted at his insecurities regarding the relationship.

Additionally, there were claims that DDG had been unfaithful. These rumors intensified when his ex, Rubi Rose, tweeted about a woman wearing her clothes, leading to speculation about DDG. She later shared screenshots of alleged DMs where DDG inquired about her whereabouts. In response to the cheating rumors, DDG tweeted, “Nobody cheated on nobody,” seemingly putting an end to those allegations. Sadly, their relationship has now officially ended.
