Sanaipei Tande has spoken out about her controversial departure from the Showmax series KINA. The singer-turned-actor disclosed that her "exhaustion" was why she departed.
Over the weekend, it was made official that Sanaipei Tande, who played Nana Tandala, the series' principal actress, had quit her job. In a statement, Maisha Magic Plus, on behalf of the Maisha Magic Plus Team, thanked Sanaipei for her excellent performance on the Nana character and wished her all the best in her future endeavors.

Mbeki Mwalimu, a different actress, has been announced to replace Sanaipei's position as Nana Tandala.
Sanaipei also expressed herself today via Instagram. She created a lengthy statement to provide her explanation for the events.
Addressing her fans through her Instagram, Sanaipei acknowledged that many were aware that she was no longer playing Nana Tandala, a role in the ongoing series KINA. She clarified that there had been a lot of speculation as to why she left the show thrown around that was neither here nor there. The hit-maker said she chose to depart for clarity and authenticity since she was exhausted and needed some rest.
She added that due to the nature of the show, finding a replacement was required to continue providing you with enjoyment. She thanked her fans for showing great love, support, and concern through numerous messages, comments, and compliments.
Sanaipei said she thoroughly enjoyed her time as "The Great Nana Mandi Tandala" and all facets of the phenomenal character.
She ended by thanking her producers, cast mates, and family and wished her successor Mbeki Mwalimu all the best.
