Anerlisa Muigai's ex-husband Ben Paul now accepts and acknowledges that being alone is advantageous. He continued by saying that, given the number of people wanting to be single but not, being single is a blessing.
"Ni Bahati ya mtende kuwa single. Watu wengi wanatafuta bahati ya kuwa single. Ni bahati adhimu. Kwa hivyo, ukiipata hio bahati, usiipoteze, usiichezee, usiifuje, usiitumie vibaya."
The musician continued by saying that many people in partnerships live false lives because they are not being genuine to themselves.

The musician claimed in the interview that he never enjoyed his marriage to Anerlisa because they only took images and uploaded them, never having time for a typical marriage.
The allegations so incensed Anerlisa that she threatened to reveal letters Ben Pol had been sending her that seemed to indicate he still had feelings for her.
"If you are a man enough, I dare you to share what you have been sending me since December 25th." Anerlisa posted.
The singer of the Moyo Machine song claims that he and Anerlisa first connected at a press conference in Nairobi in 2018 and dated before getting hitched in 2020.
Ben Pol had been unmarried for about a year when their paths met because he had not entered another relationship following his breakup with the mother of his now six-year-old son.
The singer claimed in a previous interview that he and Anerlisa had a typical marriage and remained largely unchanged throughout and after their union broke down.
