Pop icon Bad Bunny is being sued for $40 million (£33 million) by his ex-girlfriend, who claims he improperly utilized a recording of her in two songs.
Before he rose to fame and before his breakup, according to Carliz De La Cruz Hernández, she recorded the catchphrase "Bad Bunny baby" on her phone in 2015.
The lyric can be heard on the Puerto Rican rapper and singer's songs Dos Mil 16 from 2022 and Pa Ti from 2017.

Over the previous three years, Bad Bunny has been the most streamed artist on Spotify. The legal case brought by Ms. De La Cruz, which was filed in Puerto Rico earlier this month, has not received a public response from him.
According to the report, the two started dating in 2011 while Bad Bunny, actual name Benito Martnez Ocasio, was also a musician. They both worked at a supermarket.
The bathroom at a friend's house was the quietest area, so she used the voice notes app to record several different renditions of herself repeating the "Bad Bunny baby" line and sent them to Martnez.
He used them in a few of his early Soundcloud compositions before releasing it on Pa Ti, which has amassed more than 355 million views on YouTube and 235 million Spotify listens.
According to Ms. De La Cruz's attorneys, days before Bad Bunny's most recent album Un Verano Without Te was released last year, his managers offered to pay her $2,000 (£1,600) to purchase the rights to the line.
Despite her protests, the Album was released without her contribution. A Grammy Award nomination for album of the year was given to Un Verano Sin Te, and the song Dos Mil 16 has amassed 280 million Spotify plays in addition to 60 million YouTube views.
