Bien is the only Kenyan artist highlighted in US Vice president's official Spotify playlist of African music. Bien's song "No Body," which he co-wrote with Tanzanian musician Darassa, was among the best.

In order to capture the essence of her current travel throughout the continent, US Vice President Kamala Harris has created an official Spotify playlist of African music. Artists from all around Africa are represented on the playlist, with an emphasis on East Africa.

Tanzanian musicians predominate the "My Trips" playlist, which includes a wide variety of African performers.

This includes songs by Zuchu, Alikiba, Jay Melody, Mbosso, Jux ft. Marioo, Darassa, Marioo ft. Abbah, and Platform ft. Marioo.

During an official visit, Harris went to Ghana, Tanzania, and Zambia. There, she met with African musicians and politicians to talk about climate change, economic development, and security.

When the US presidential election was taking place in November 2020, Harris posted a playlist on Twitter. She had previously utilized music to spread her message.

Also, she released a playlist last year called "Kamala's Election Night" which had music that highlighted her journey to the position of US Vice President.

Harris spoke with African musicians during her tour, including the Ghanaian-American singers Black Sherif and Amaarae, and she expressed her desire to support and promote African artists in global markets and expand their fan bases.

The goal of Harris's first trip abroad since entering office was to fortify connections between the US and Africa.

In Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, she met with the African Union, Vice President Mahamudu Bawumia, and President Nana Akufo-Addo of Ghana.

Harris has stated that she wants to continue forging stronger ties with African countries and that Africa is "vital to our shared global destiny."
