Speaking at a burial ceremony in Soy, Uasin Gishu County, the speaker said that the government has to safeguard every citizen of Kenya and their belongings and that no one should approve of such actions.

At the same time, Wetangula urged former President Uhuru Kenyatta to follow in the footsteps of previous leaders by avoiding politics and focusing on his duties as a statesman.

The national assembly speaker stated that Uhuru should live in harmony by uniting Kenyans.

He urged Raila Odinga, leader of Azimio la Umoja, to accept previous election results and move on. He urged Kenyans to stop being used by lawmakers to create chaos during protests.

Azimio la Umoja leader Raila Odinga has, however, blamed deputy president rigathi gachagua for the destruction of property at his company and the invasion and destruction of property at the Kenyatta farm in Kiambu county.

According to Odinga, "Mr. Gachagua had also established a weapons and order centers in two distinct places at a residence near to the Kenyan Bomas that a former Cabinet Secretary owns as well as on Hillcrest Drive, Nairobi, belonging to a serving Cabinet Secretary, to carry out plots against ordinarily peaceful demonstrators that are nasty and violent."

NARCK kenya party leader Martha Karua condemned the attack, saying they amounted to acts of impunity as the unidentified groups wreaked devastation without any help from the authorities to stop them.

"All Kenyans deserve protection by @NPSOfficial_KE irrespective of political affiliation. Kenyans are owed an explanation why kibera is burning tonight, & why East África Specter@RailaOdinga family business, &Kenyatta family Northlands were denied police protection," she tweeted.
