On Tuesday, acclaimed Kenyan artist and entrepreneur Esther Akoth aka Akothee, was confronted with a problematic issue concerning what occurred between her and her former close friend, socialite Zari Hassan.

Akothee commented on the second episode of the recently released Young, Famous, and African film, praising prominent Nigerian model Swanky Jerry for his style and sense of humour.

"Swanky. @swankyjerry is the show; he makes me giggle. The atmosphere shifts when he walks in. Swanky is that one friend in the group about whom you never know when or how to speak. His sense of style! "Humour necessitates a certain level of mind," Akothee explained.

The mother of five stated unequivocally that she was watching the reality show in France. Her fans congregated under the post, as planned, to comment on the bar and others about the episode.

Some of them were curious about her old best friend, Zari. An Instagram user inquired about her relationship with Diamond Platnumz's co-parent.

"Speaking of Swanky Jerry," a fan inquired, "what happened between you and Zari you were best friends, I remember you being in her corner?"

"Do you want to start another show besides Netflix?" Akothee replied. "What exactly do you want to know?"

However, She did not reveal any additional information in response to the fan's question. In another fan response, the 43-year-old singer defended Zari's feud with Fantana.

"But Fantana messed up Zari!" "Eish, she's her dawa!!" an admirer commented on the post.

Akothee, who appeared to support the mother of five, stated, "No, Fantana is a disrespectful little girl who needs to grow up." You can't win the fight of the baby mamas. Hakuna dawa hapo, I didn't like her."


Both old friends married, Akothee with Denis Schweizer on April 10 and Zari with Shakib Lutaaya a few days later.

There were rumours that Zari married owing to peer pressure when her ex-friend married, which she denied.

"I'm not competing against anyone." People should not marry again just because someone in another country is wedded. Was he the first to marry?" He stated.
