French Montana, a US rapper, was interviewed by CNN journalist Larry Madowo, who has thrilled his Kenyan followers.

According to Madowo, who hinted about it on his social media, Montana is scheduled to explore Africa soon.

What song by French Montana is your favourite? The Moroccan-born hip-hop star and I met up at his Los Angeles residence. Most of all, he's proud of having "laid the path for Africa... He said, "I demonstrated to them that anything is possible."

The singer, nominated for three Grammy awards, spoke of his strong ties to Africa. In Nigerian-shot footage, he has raised money for a hospital in Uganda.

French states that he is most happy with having "paved the way for Africa... I showed them that anything is possible" out of all his achievements. Because if you had asked me then what I desired, I would have replied, "I desired to have my voice heard."

His most recent film, "For Khadija," is about his mother, who was his inspiration throughout his life.

He told Variety Magazine, "This goes out to all the mothers who struggle, have kids, and were forced to sacrifice.

The interview will shortly make its debut on CNN's African Changemakers series.
