Singer Stephen Otieno Adera, as Stevo Simple Boy, had his contract with Men in Business Management Company (MIB) terminated.

In an interview with author Samuel Maina, the group said that the Kibera-based rapper and MIB have now entered a 35-day transition period.

According to MIB, the members' two-day meeting catalysed the decision to end the contract.

The whole team has sat down and decided that we should pull out of the contract, a MIB spokesperson said, "following the unjust and unlawful allegations, and a lot of lies that have been put through that have destroyed the company's reputation."

"We are going to follow the legal procedures the right way, which could have been done from the beginning," he continued.

We shall follow a fair and legal procedure to ensure the changeover happens within 35 days.

The management claimed that after Grace Atieno, the wife of Stevo Simple Boy, made serious accusations against the business, team members started discussing their options over the weekend.

"Everyone arrived at a decision. We don't want to take any steps to protect ourselves, and it's not because of the accusations. We wish to release the artist so they can have a successful future. The charges are highly concerning, according to MIB, in light of how much the company has released.

A day after the charges were made public on a well-known YouTube vlog, the management disclosed that they met with Stevo.

They said that the artist verified that the company had supported him initially and claimed he was pressured to go against it.

"We offered him some guidance. We advised him to view any decision that came from our side as positive, and we promised to do the same for any decision from his side.

Given the seriousness of the allegations, MIB stated that there is very little likelihood of reconciliation with the alleged rapist from Kibera.

On Monday, June 26, just two days after his wife alleged that the musician was having financial difficulties and that the management had been mistreating him, Stevo's contract with MIB was formally cancelled.
