Siaya Deputy Governor William Oduol has stated that he intends to seek the assistance of elders and churches to reconcile with Governor James Orengo.

This comes after he avoided impeachment on Monday after most Senators decided against removing him from office.

Twenty-seven Senators voted against the two reasons considered to be established and substantiated by the Senate Special Committee investigating his impeachment by the Siaya County Assembly.

The move to remove DG Oduol began after he disagreed with Governor Orengo, which irritated the majority of MCAs and leaders. Following the victory, DG Oduol committed to serving Siaya locals with respect under Governor Orengo.

oduol thanked God for this victory and the Senate for the fair and impartial deliberations assuring the people of siaya that his primary goal is to serve them.

"I am excited to return to Siaya and work alongside Governor James Orengo to provide effective and efficient service to the people of Siaya County." I want to use the elders and churches to bridge this gap."

Oduol was being investigated after being linked to claims of serious violation of the constitution, misappropriation of public funds, and other laws.

MCAs who pushed for his dismissal said that the DG intimidated county employees and tried to influence which contractor was paid.
