The fourth child of John Legend and Chrissy Teigen is a boy who was delivered via surrogate.

The excellent news was revealed by the couple on Instagram, where they also revealed that their son, Wren Alexander Stephens, was born on Monday, June 19 and that his middle name, Alexandra, was in honour of his surrogate.

The delighted parents updated fans on all the events leading up to the delivery of their message. However, they had not previously revealed to fans that they were expecting another child.

Only five months have passed since the family welcomed baby Esti before the couple's new arrival.

After losing her newborn child Jack two years ago, Chrissy said she initially didn't want to carry another kid. However, she underwent IVF again and ended up pregnant with Esti. The pair is also the parents to Miles, 4, and Luna, 7.

Soon after discovering she was expecting Esti, Alexandra found she was expecting Wren.

We, therefore, restarted the IVF procedure, which is how we got our lovely Luna and Miles. We created fresh embryos. We underwent my transfer, and when we discovered it had succeeded, we were expecting our daughter Esti. Around this time, we also got to know Alexandra, the most amazing, kind, and caring surrogate we could ever hope to meet. When we chatted with her, I realized she was our ideal match.
