Following a stay in intensive care, Madonna was discharged from the hospital and is currently at home, feeling better.

Her manager described it as a "serious bacterial infection."

The 64-year-old was scheduled to leave on a seven-month globe tour soon but postpone it.

A source told CNN that she was taken to her New York home in a private ambulance and that “she’s in the clear.”

Madonna, who is notoriously private about her health, was in the final stages of rehearsals for her extensive world tour.

The Celebration tour was set to kick off in Canada in two weeks, before traveling to 45 cities around the world.

It was due to be her 12th tour, marking 40 years of involvement in the music industry.

Forbes magazine ranks her as the 45th richest self-made woman in the United States, with an estimated fortune of $580 million (£460 million), and claims she has earned an estimated $1.2 billion from tours.

Since manager Guy Oseary issued a statement about her health, the singer has received thousands of messages of support online.

The tour’s fate has yet to be determined, with Oseary stating, “At this time, we need to pause all commitments, which includes the tour.”

“We will share more details with you as soon as we have them, including a new start date for the tour and rescheduled shows.”

In his statement, Oseary also stated that he expected the singer to make a “complete recovery.”
