Jose Chameleon, a musician from Uganda who performs under the name Joseph Mayanja and goes by the stage name Jose Chameleon, is apparently in need of money to pay for an emergency surgery he had in the United States after complaining of stomach symptoms for more than two years.
His condition deteriorated during his journey to America last month, and upon admittance, it was discovered that he had a gallbladder issue causing bile to leak into his stomach.
According to people close to Chameleon, the hospital bill for his procedure at a hospital in Minnesota came to Ush 370 million.
The musician begged the authorities to assist him in raising the funds. Other artists are also attempting to obtain funding from the government to cover medical expenses.

Abba Marcus Mayanja, Chameleon's son, and Michelle Kaddu, Desire Luzinda's daughter, recently went to Jamaica. He was honouring Abba, who had recently graduated from Spring Lake Park High School in Minnesota.
